As with all information and restrictions, the advice issued from government officials is under constant review so some of these measures will be amended in light of feedback governed by the AEO (Association of Event Organisers) and Design London’s own independent Health and Safety Team.
The safety of Design London’s participants and visitors is of the highest priority.
Due to the ever-changing regulations of the pandemic, the rules regarding social distancing in September 2021 are currently difficult to predict. We anticipate that some regulations will remain (such as the wearing of face masks), and we will naturally be constantly monitoring capacity figures to ensure that the venue has ample dwell space for it’s visitors and exhibitors to maintain some form of social distance. There are other restrictions which could affect the event; such as one-way systems and staggered entrance times but we will need to seek advice closer to the event in order to ensure we comply with these measures and ensure the safety of all attendees.
Sanitiser stations will be present across the event. Visitors and Exhibitors will be encouraged to sanitise on entry to the event; and at any major interchange within Magazine London.
Design London will increase its ground level signage focused on any measures and restrictions applicable at the time. These could include social distancing restrictions and face covering requirements.
Design London already operates a robust cleaning regime for its event. We will ask our exhibitors and participants to have their own stand cleaning policies in place for their space and products, which will be reviewed and approved before the event.
Design London will be constantly updating it’s own Code of Conduct for all participants in line with advice for September 2021. This will be communicated to participants via the E-Zone before the event.
